What is the flyboarding?

Flyboarding is the very latest craze in the water sport industry that allows the user to fly up to 30 feet in the air through water propulsion.

Created in 2011 by the Zapata Racing Team, the flyboard has taken the water sports world to new "heights!" The flyboard is designed so that it is attached to a 65 foot hose that uses the power of the jet ski to push water out of the flyboard. While on the flyboard, the user is in control of navigating both the board and the jet ski, while the jet ski is in control of the power.

How long does it take to learn how to fly?

Within approximately 2-5 minutes the average person can learn to fly and within twenty minutes you can perform basic maneuvers.

Does flyboarding take a lot of strength or stamina?

Absolutely not! If you are minimally coordinated, for example, you can walk and stand, you can fly! You don't have to be Superman, Iron Man or even Batman to fly like them!

Is there a weight limit to use the flyBoard?

Yes! Though our equipment is extremely durable, the average flyboard has been designed to withstand up to 350 lbs. There is no height limit and our standard equipment can support someone with a shoe size between 6 and 13. So, virtually, anyone can fly!

Will I be able to float in the water when on the FlyBoard?

Absolutely! Though the flyboard is approximately 65 pounds on land it is designed with floatability that makes the flyboard seemingly weightless in the water. Our certified instructors at NTX Flyboard will teach you techniques for moving in the water.

How high will I fly on my first flight?

While learning to do basic maneuvers you will fly approximately 5 feet above the water. This may not sound like vey high at all; however, most people begin almost 11 feet above the water at eye level. (Remember, "You had to walk before you could run!")

The instructor is in complete control of your power to ensure your safety at all times. Our instructors are also CPR and First Aid trained in the event of an emergency. Who controls how much power and how high I actually fly?

The amount of power you have is actually controlled by the person on the jet ski when accelerating. This controls the amount of water being propelled through the hose to the Flyboard. In addition, power is not 100% related to the height of the flight because the flyer has the ability to adjust their height by balancing the board one way or the other.

Do I have to be a good swimmer in order to flyboard?

Absolutely not! We do encourage our flyers to be able to at least swim because this may give them added confidence. However, life jackets are used at all times so even non swimmers can fly.

Are there any health circumstances I should consider before flying?

Unfortunately, Yes! If you have any kind of history of serious back or knee injuries you should be aware. However, you should also know that even someone with these injuries could fly reducing the power on the board. However the experience could still be had.

How high will I fly and how deep will I go under water?
